By now you’ve probably seen the peach fruit basket.
If you haven’t, here’s the best way to make one.
A peach fruit can be hard to find and hard to eat.
If there’s no fruit on the market, you can grow your own, but it’s hard to get everything you need in one go.
A good peach fruit is also an amazing source of protein and calcium.
This recipe from Japan has everything you want in a peach fruit.
Ingredients 2 cups fresh, ripe, peeled, or sliced peach (peach juice, not juice from the peach) 1 tablespoon sugar 1/4 cup soy sauce, sesame, or canola oil 1/2 cup sesame seeds 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder, plus more to taste 1/3 cup red wine vinegar, or lemon juice (optional) Directions Mix all the ingredients together in a blender or food processor.
Add in the peach juice and salt.
Blend on low speed until smooth and creamy.
Add more soy sauce if needed.
Cover and refrigerate at least one hour.
The recipe was adapted from Japan and was first published in January 2016.
The author, an English speaker who has been baking in Japan for over 10 years, hopes the recipe will inspire Japanese people to make their own peach fruit baskets.
If so, I hope you’ll give it a try!
